The Belgariad ebooks are back finally in the US kindle store. Still waiting for the other series. If you want them buy quick before they disappear. Again.

That's what I'm talking about. That's why I said 5 book _set_ rather than omnibus.

Gotcha.

It wasn’t very clear as Amazon tends to call their Kindle omnibus as sets as well.

For example:

Yeah, I really don't like that. Especially when the cover image is one of those three quarter views of the first book cover and then th spines of all the books.

Partly I think they figure some of their customers would be too stupid to know the word 'omnibus'

I found something that doesn't make sense. In the preview of the eBook, there is a link to the publisher. Click on the cover link on the publisher website and it goes to an entry that shows hardcover and paperback and the cover shows in the same as the on the publisher website. The eBook has a completely different cover (awful photos and terrible fonts).

So, is this eBook legit?

When I click on the Spectrum Literary Agency link in the ebook, it takes me to the David Eddings page set up by the agency. Finding the first book in the series (under discussion), it then takes me to Amazon. I'm then given two choices: Kindle or Mass Market Paperback. When I click on 'Kindle,' I'm shown the current ebook with (as you state), the awful [cover/photo].

This is the new ebook edition.

The new covers are lousy. If these were the covers back when I first read this series, I would not have read it.

It seems these are exclusive to Amazon and that sucks. There is no way I would buy them until they stop this crap and release them to other shops.

Why not change the covers to ones you like?

pBook covers cannot be changed and if those become the pBook covers, then no thanks.
