This is so true
I have an iPad which I tried reading a book on but just couldn't. Other than the fact that the backlighting was very uncomfortable to my eyes, it was very distracting. It was difficult for me to concentrate on the book I was reading, knowing that YouTube and my apps are only a tap away made it impossible for me to finish a chapter! That was one of the reasons why I decided to get myself a Kindle and I'm really happy that I did and I'm glad that the browser on the Kindle Paperwhite is very basic and unsatisfactory. |

Very good production values even if it disrespects lolcats.
Too bad those same high values aren't always reflected in their firmware. |

It highlighted many of the reasons why I love my Kindle for reading.

What would have been funnier is if the Charles Dickens character had started doing the Oppo Gangnam Style dance as the tablet user went to YouTube.

So is the premise that Dick can't find the WiFi/Data toggle or that he's just unwilling to use it?

I have no problem reading on my iPad. I always use night mode, and whatever may be going on in the background doesn't bother me.
