pdf -> epub conversion

Hello,
I have a question regarding conversion of pdfs to epub:

My source file is a pdf-file which I want to convert into the epub format. The original pdf-book has 350 pages. So far so good, conversion starts and as output a epub-file is created. When I open the epub, I see that just the first two pages were converted, the rest of the book not.

Do I make something wrong here?

I have had the exactly same problem with just getting the first two pages converted to epub. On other occasions when converting a large PDF book ony the first 300 odd pages were converted.
