Copying books from external disk to Calibre library
Hello. I am a new user and hoping I am putting this into the correct forum. I have recently been given a large number of books from a calibre library. They are currently sitting on my Mac formatted USB. I am trying to copy them into the Calibre app I have set up on my mac, then I want to transfer the library onto my iPad. Despite tackling this from all angles I can think of, I can't figure out how to get the files from the USB to the mac. Are there any users out there who can help? Thank you in advance

Right-click Add books (it is the big red button on the far left of the main toolbar).
Use "Add books from directories, including sub-directories (One book per directory, assumes every ebook file is the same book in a different format)"
