I'm stumped. Calibre won't email to Kindle - Page 2

Got Sharing books by email open in Calibre.
There's a big box saying Email, Format, Subject etc.
A send email from box.
Then a Calibre can optionally use a server section containing Hostname, Port, username, password, Encryption TLS, SSL, None.

Kovid Goyal, couldn't you step in here? Not everyone is a programmer like you so although this might look easy to you, it might as well be in Chinese or Russian.

By emailing to KIndle, you do realize that you'll end up with Mobi. That's not a good idea. You're best to use KF8.

JSWolf, KF8? Never heard of that. I've always been told Mobi was the only format for kindle.

Whoever told you Mobi was the only format is wrong.

KF8 is the correct name for AZW3. KF8 = Kindle Format 8. It's Amazon's answer to ePub. Mobi is obsolete and you can easily lose formatting converting to Mobi. Emailing to Kindle is done with Mobi so that's not a good idea.

The only thing under settings is whether to add sender name or not.

I registered for a new GMX account and failed to get the account "verified" by GMX in Preference\Sharing books by email\Test email button.

Then, I go to the setting for E-mail on GMX, and clicked on POP3 & IMAP ==> checking the following box solved the problem.

The problem is your computer name appears to have two dots in it "Sara-PC..homeSara"

Try changing the computer name to something like Sara-PC-home or similar and reboot then you should be fine.

Tried this, it was named Sara-PC I've renamed it to SaraPC only, rebooted the PC but still I'm getting this:

are you sure there is not some non-visible characters after the PC part?

There's still a pair of dots. Is you domain name .home or something? If so remove the dot.
