Kindle books not available in Canada

I just ordered a Kindle 3 yesterday and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival. In the meantime I've begun browsing the books I want to buy first. I found that some of the titles are not available to Canadian customers. However, I've also seen that you can change the mailing address associated with the Kindle. I'm wondering if any Canadian Kindle users have tried this. Can I simply enter a US address on my "Manage my Kindle" page and unlock all the Kindle books available to the US?

I would like to do same. I have a bad feeling they will do a credit card check and verify that the issuing lender is US. But there might be a way around that also with those disposable credit-cards. When I get my K3 I will try.

You can just change your address to a US one, no credit card check required. I've changed it back and forth a couple times. Just be sure to be in a wifi zone for the download, or else you may be charged roaming.

We use a US address as well and it works fine. Someone from Amazon did call to verify our American address though and my husband refused to give them info over the phone and they never called back.
