Rooted and trouble with Button Savior

I hope that someone here can help me. I installed Button Savior on my recently rooted (AN 3.0) NC. I really like it, but it only works some of the time. The problem I'm having is that sometimes both the back and menu buttons stop working. The home and exit buttons as well as the trigger still work all the time. I have tried to uncheck and recheck USB debugging but that doesn't always work. Does anyone have any insight into this? I would love to get this consistently working so that I can uninstall softkeys. Thanks in advance.

Does this happen with different apps or the same ones?

I've noticed some apps don't recognize the button presses, especially the back arrow, for button savior (or softkeys either). Not sure if it's how the apps look for the button presses.

If it's the same app that sometimes recognizes and sometimes not, then not sure what you're issue is.

Sorry I'm not much help, but when I was still using the stock software on my NC, I could never get Button Savior OR Softkeys configured to my satisfaction.

I preferred using the volume keys - it was much better. For the few times I needed to change the volume, I used a volume app/widget that I had downloaded.

If you would like some help setting up the volume keys, let me know!

ps. or switch to CM7/gingerbread where the buttons are at the bottom of the screen and you don't need any other programs!

Thanks guys,

It was a global problem with button savior but softkeys always works reliably. However, I updated my button savior yesterday after receiving a notification that there was an update and since then it has been working. I'm not sure if the update fixed the problem or if it will fail again. Time will tell. On the notification, it did mention problems with button malfunctions.
