Exclamation Different font size ePub <-> mobi

Hi,

Problem: different font size ePub <-> mobi. In mobi is always very small comparing to ePub. Of course, it can be set manually every time, but it is not nice solution when reader switch often between this formats.

Looks like bug in rendering engine since years, and still not fixed?

Support for mobi format on a Kobo is very basic. I don't see that changing any time soon as it's an Amazon format. If you care about the "look" of your books and dictionary usage, stick to epub or kepub.

Font kepub and epub will also differ in size. It is strange why they did this and have not corrected for many years. It is ugly and uncomfortable.

In case you're interested...

This is not true for some Kobo models (KA1 and Forma) where font-size is the same for both epub and kepub.

In addition, for owners of other Kobo models who also use calibre to sideload their books, there is a calibre driver feature you can enable which will allow you to even up the epub/kepub font sizes. More details available if you need them.

I hurt that for Clara (for example) the size is different. I know and I can fix it, but I am interested in getting it fixed in Kobo. Why do users need extra actions

I understand. I like Kobo but never again buy product form this producer. Their software is low quality. So many old bugs, bad support in so easy elements like user dictionaries. Everything is over-complicated and poorly made.

Thank You for Yours answer.
