Alex Kosmitoras's life has never been easy. The only other student who will talk to him is the school bully, his parents are dead broke and insanely overprotective, and to complicate matters even more, he's blind. Just when he thinks he'll never have a shot at a normal life, an enticing new girl comes to their small Midwest town all the way from India. Simmi is smart, nice, and actually wants to be friends with Alex. Plus she smells like an Almond Joy bar. Sophomore year might not be so bad after all.

Unfortunately, Alex is in store for another new arrival—an unexpected and often embarrassing ability to "see" the future. Try as he may, Alex is unable to ignore his visions, especially when they suggest Simmi is in mortal danger. With the help of the mysterious psychic next door and friends who come bearing gifts of their own, Alex embarks on his journey to change the future.

Another selfie but with many decent reviews. Romantic comedy. Described as chick lit where everything is perfect.

The Frog Prince by Elle Lothlorien.
http://www.amazon.com/Frog-Prince-Ro...7962164&sr=1-1

Quote:
It was his pheromones that did it. With one sniff, sex researcher Leigh Fromm recognizes that any offspring she might have with the mysterious stranger would have a better-than-average chance of surviving any number of impending pandemics.

But when Leigh finds out that the handsome “someone” at her great aunt’s wake is Prince Roman Habsburg von Lorraine of Austria, she suddenly doubts her instincts—not that she was intending to sleep with the guy. The royal house of Habsburg was once completely inbred, insanity and impotency among the highlights of their genetic pedigree. (The extreme “bulldog underbite” that plagued them wasn’t called the Habsburg Jaw for nothing.)

It doesn’t matter that his family hasn’t sat on a throne (other than the ones in their Toilette) since 1918, or that Austria is now a parliamentary democracy. Their lives couldn’t be more different: Roman is routinely mobbed by paparazzi in Europe. Leigh is regularly mocked for having the social skills of a potted plant. Even if she suddenly developed grace, charm and a pedigree that would withstand the scrutiny of the press and his family, what exactly is she supposed to do with this would-have-been king of Austria who is in self-imposed exile in Denver, Colorado?

First Contact (In Her Name: The Last War, Book 1) by Michael R. Hicks. Full time sci-fi writer offers the first in the series. Seems to be self published. Too many glowing reviews for comfort but sample seems competent.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...w_clar_choose1

Quote:
Led by Commander Owen McClaren, the TNS Aurora is embarked on an extended survey mission, searching for new worlds that could support human life. Drawn to an uncharted star system that appears to have not just one, but two potentially habitable planets, the crew of the Aurora discovers something even more unexpected: the planets are already inhabited, but not by humans. Approached by gigantic alien starships, the human crew prepares for humanity’s very first contact with another sentient race.

But nothing could prepare them for what fate has in store. For they have entered the domain of the Kreelan Empire, which has waited thousands of years to find another spacefaring race against which to wage war to honor their Empress. With all but one of the crew killed in ritual close combat, the aliens send Aurora home bearing the sole survivor: the Messenger, a young midshipman who carries with him an alien artifact that is humanity’s only sign of how much time remains until they are plunged into an interstellar war

Remix by Lexi Revellian. MR member offers her murder mystery free at least for today.
http://www.amazon.com/Remix-ebook/dp...7962906&sr=1-1

Quote:
Caz Tallis restores rocking horses in her London workshop. When shabby but charismatic Joe and his dog turn up on her roof terrace, she is reluctantly drawn into investigating a rock star's murder from three years before - an unsolved case the police have closed. Which, as her best friend James says, is rather like poking a furnace with a short stick...

I can't seem to figure this one out. Is it a short story (or several) taken from her mythological paranormal epic? A preview to get you to buy her full novel for $2.99? Anyway all 5-star reviews. Sample first is recommended. Her bio says she's a history teacher/historian and events are accurately portrayed when referring to actual characters.

A Sword For His Women (THE PULSE HISTORIA) by A . Jacob Sweeny.
http://www.amazon.com/Sword-Women-PU...7963596&sr=1-3

Quote:
THE PULSE HISTORIA is a series of short stories chronicling various episodes in the lives of A Jacob Sweeny’s beloved Immortals from the smash hit trilogy THE PULSE MYTHS. "A Sword For His Women" recounts how several of the immortal heroes first encountered one another while fighting alongside Vlad Dracul against the Ottoman Turks in the mid 1400’s.

Each PULSE HISTORIA narrative can be read and enjoyed on its own. But for a deeper understanding of what and who these characters are, check out PULSE OF HEROES, a 200,000 word epic paranormal romance set in modern day.

The Starry Child by Lynn Hanna. Originally published in 1998 by Onyx/Novelbooks. Romance with some paranormal stuff.
http://www.amazon.com/The-Starry-Chi...7964217&sr=1-1

Quote:
If you enjoy the extraordinary stories of Diana Gabaldon, Karen Marie Moning, and the paranormal works of Nora Roberts...

THE STARRY CHILD is a spell-binding, unforgettable story of a star-crossed love that survives through the ages, a tale as timeless as the mystic Scottish legends and forbidden lovers among the heather of long ago. Yet it is as vibrant and alive in the present day as those whose fates now hang in the balance. It's the story of a young mother who learns that her own destiny is forever tied to a man she hardly knows, a man of the Highlands. Yet in her heart, she realizes that he's someone she has always known. And at the center of it all lies an undying love held in secret by a little girl.

Jump Cut by Lise McClendon as Rory Tate. Mystery suspense. Reviews mediocre.
http://www.amazon.com/Jump-Cut-ebook...7965551&sr=1-1

Quote:
Seattle reporter Mimi Raynard is having a bad week. Her ex-husband is now her boss at the TV station and wants her head on a platter. When three prostitutes die of a suspicious heroin overdose Mimi gets the story but in her nervous enthusiasm manages to bungle it. The narcotics detective on the case tries to help but both are out-foxed by the buxom intern.
Desperate for a new job Mimi takes a friend’s advice and dresses up as a Russian Mafiya Madam for a resume tape she has no intention of sending out. But the lark turns serious when the intern steals the tape. At the Seattle Police Department the narcotics detective Shad Mulgrew has his own career crisis. He is framed for stealing drugs from evidence. Are the murdered prostitutes linked to his case? Is he getting too close to the truth? And what is Mimi's father doing working for Eastern Europe's last Communists?
Working together to save their reputations, Mimi and Shad look for the truth, from the fishing docks of Puget Sound to the tiny Republic of Moldova. At turns funny, sexy, and thrilling with an edgy modern voice, Jump Cut depicts Seattle from the inside, from the joys of Seattle single life to dark alleys, from the islands to the top of the Space Needle, as the cop and the reporter try to salvage their reputations. They end up saving much more than their careers in a wild race to rescue the city they love.

Men Who Killed the Luftwaffe: The U.S. Army Air Forces Against Germany in World War II by Jay A. Stout

http://www.amazon.com/Men-Who-Killed...7966644&sr=1-1

Quote:
Winner of the San Diego Book Award for Military & Politics
Dramatic story of World War II in the air
How the U.S. built an air force of 2.3 million men after starting with 45,000 and defeated the world's best air force
Vivid accounts of aerial combat
In order to defeat Germany in World War II, the Allies needed to destroy the Third Reich's industry and invade its territory, but before they could effectively do either, they had to defeat the Luftwaffe, whose state-of-the-art aircraft and experienced pilots protected German industry and would batter any attempted invasion. This difficult task fell largely to the U.S., which, at the outset, lacked the necessary men, materiel, and training. Over the ensuing years, thanks to visionary leadership and diligent effort, the U.S. Army Air Force developed strategies and tactics and assembled a well-trained force that convincingly defeated the Luftwaffe.

Legends of Tsalagee by Phil Truman. Mystery published by Deadly Niche Press (?).
http://www.amazon.com/Legends-Tsalag...7967005&sr=1-1

Quote:
Legends from a small town come in many forms. Near Tsalagee, Oklahoma a monster lurks and an infamous 19th Century outlaw’s booty lays hidden. When two renegade bikers ride into town looking to find the Lost Treasure of Belle Starr, local legends Hayward Yost and Socrates Ninekiller suspect the ruffians’ involvement in the murder of a local farmer; a man rumored to have knowledge of the lost treasure’s location...and its curse. As events unfold, others in the community are drawn into the hunt – a Wiccan who moves to town to pursue her New Age lifestyle; her bumbling, socially inept boyfriend women can’t seem to resist; a young Iraqi War veteran home to heal his physical and emotional wounds; and a mysterious creature known in Native American lore as a forest demon whom they call “Hill Man who screams at night.” Mystery, romance, comedy, and adventure await in Legends of Tsalagee.

Edited for Death by Michele Drier. Mystery published by Mainly Murder Press. Some complaints of formatting problems and reviews mixed. Sample was unimpressive for a small press.
Quote:
Amy Hobbes never expected to solve anything tougher than a crossword puzzle. When she left her job as a journalist in Southern California, she planned to give the adrenaline a rest, but her next job, managing editor of a local newspaper, delivers some surprises. After a respected Senator and World War II hero dies and two more people turn up dead, the news heats up. Both victims had ties to a hotel owned by the Senator's family. With the help of reporter pal Clarice and the new man in her life, Phil, Amy uncovers a number of shadowy figures, including a Holocaust survivor who's spent sixty years tracking down Nazi loot. It's a complex and dangerous puzzle, but Amy can't walk away until she solves it.
