Listening to audible.com books after deactivating account?
I had an audible.com account for a while, and got a few books off it. They play just fine on my kindle 2, but that is a bit of a pain to lug around. I would like to find a way to play them on my Droid. If I transfer the files across to it, the audible.com app sees them, but when I try to play one, it asks me for log in information, and refuses to work if I provide my old username and password. Are there any workarounds for this?
Apologies if this question is inappropriate for this forum; I would welcome any pointers to more appropriate places to ask. |

I'd contact Audible CS about your login credentials. The only way you're going to be able to play the files with their DRM intact is to have your device activated as a registered device.
When you say you "deactivated" your account do you mean you just canceled a membership (like gold or platinum where you get credits) or do you mean you literally contacted them and asked to have your account deleted? If the latter I don't know that anything can be done. |

Are you using the Audible file manager to transfer the books to your Android gadget, or are you just copying the files over. I'm not sure, but with the DRM in Audible files, I don't think a direct move would work.
