The Black Man's Answer: A Common Man's Perspective on the Black Struggle

This is a personal spiritual and reflective journey through the eyes of an African American male who has witnessed, and questioned the social inequities that came together to become his life. This book enables those inside, or outside of the culture to experience what it means to be self-aware of the short comings of themselves and their people, as well as offering potential solutions to correct or improve the situation so that the cycles aren't repeated for future generations to come. It covers a variety of topics such as love, religion, spirituality, economics, patriotism, health, family, and communication to name a few. This book was written without the help of any official experts as the author holds no formal education on any of the topics mentioned. The situations were conveyed from the standpoint of an average brother in America who is trying to find his identity and in the process was led to contemplate the salvation of his people as well. The message is relayed this way intentionally in order to meet the reader on a more natural level. All accounts mentioned in this book are taken from real life experiences that the author has endured during his life.

this book is for anyone who has ever pondered the trials and tribulations of the African American culture and how they affect our current status today. It sheds light and provides relevance for those who have misunderstood or questioned the fight for equality that is ongoing in our society. It’s a refreshing glimpse of the situation from the standpoint of an average person, who wishes to inform and bring awareness to those who otherwise would not know. The author’s intended purpose is to paint a better picture regarding these circumstances, with the hopes it will increase the level of understanding for us all.

This book is meant to positively guide, answer, reinforce, and influence the lifestyles of those in the black community. Many of which may need a little assistance finding stability, dealing with issues, or simply making progress within their lives. It should serve as a quick reference tool to the common man of any race or culture, to understand the factors that produce the every day realities observed within the African American culture.

Furthermore, the message within is meant to be read objectively as there is no one way to view, interpret, perceive, or remedy every ailment concerning our people. This book should be used as a moral measuring stick of sorts in which to calculate our current state of being. As well as a tool to help identify potential room for growth and improvement within our lives and culture.

In any case, it should at a minimum provide a good starting point for us even if only to bring about a higher state of consciousness, awareness, and understanding concerning these issues amongst us all.

About the Author:
J. G. Robinson was born in 1978 in his hometown of Palmetto, Florida. Growing up below the poverty line and being a product of a broken home, he made the decision to join the military. His travels and interactions with others both nationally and abroad serve as the primary platform for him to experience life from other angles. Now a middle-aged man who is happily married and the father of four children. He shares with all of us the many lessons learned within his journey by illustrating them in this very book. “The Black Man’s Answer!”
