Possible to delete file formats?

Dear Kovid,

Would it be too much to request for "delete this format" button in a book? It can be added now by converting.... but deletion is not.

By the way, last year you added the "Clear" button to date field, but it doesn't actually clear the field. The Book Details page still shows "Published: [blank]" rather than omitting it altogether. I synced the library to my PC (I do this less and less often now) to see the reason: The date value became 101.00.00 (or close to that value) rather than "Undefined".

I am using the Content Server version 3.x (latest). It can do convertion, but there's no UI to delete one of the existing file formats, let's say I want to remove azw3 and PDF, and keep epub. Tapping on the trash bin icon means deletion of the book with all formats in it, which is no my purpose.

as for deleting formats, it could probably be added to the edit metadata page, opena ticket for it, I will get to it when I have a moment

Thank you Kovid for implementing the feature to add/remove file format. But I got the following message:

Error: Failed to update metadata on server
Updating metadata for the book: [Book ID] failed.
Failed to communicate with "/cdb/set-fields/[BookID]/[Library Name]", with status: [500] Internal Server Error

As soon as I figured out how to have a log, which required the server to reboot, the issue was gone. Thank you.
