BUG in user interface
Hello,
I have open the "Modify metadata grouped" (translated from italian, sorry for any error) and the panel is large something like 100.000x500. I cannot even see the close button after scrolling the panel to the left for a couple of minutes ! I have windows 7 and a DUAL MONITOR setup. Giuseppe Chillemi |

Does it happen if you select only a particular set of books or any set of books?

Doesn't happen for me, maybe it has something to do with your dual monitor setup, do any other calibre users have dual monitors? If so can someone comment?

Just a thought, are any of the fields in the panel filled with a weird set of characters of containing a veeeerrrrryyyyy long line causing the panel to extend? Regards, Joop |

I have run calibre on W7 with dual monitors with no problems other than calibre occasionally wanting to position itself half on one and half on the other. I think we can remove multi-monitor W7 as *the* cause, which unfortunately doesn't help much with isolating the real problem.

That would have been my guess, but the OP said it happened for him with any book selected. In which case it is unlikely to be because of a very long string (as presumably all books dont share the same long string in their metadata).

No problems on XP. Calibre will run in either screen. ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device Code:

Ubuntu Linux does not the tolerate file system errors that winblows does. Scandisk fixed errors on both drives in the Pocket Pro, the Calibre on Ubuntu ran. Have not found source of frequent errors on this device (safe Eject is my standard practice). Last edited by theducks; 05-10-2010 at 10:52 PM. Reason: More info |
