Thanks.. I've had hits and misses from both of these authors, so I checked it out from my local Library's Overdrive.

Great price for a great book. I highly recommend it. It's also DRM free since it's published by Tor.

... the Ventus ebook on Schroeder's site is a mess.

Outside the US, all Wilsons' books are available under the "SF Gateway" imprint.

I got the DRM-free version of Spin in a bundle (HumbleBundle?) some time ago. Before it was available from SF Gateway, I think. I already had the paperback. And, although the book was interesting, I didn't completely love it.

Edit: It was Humble eBook Bundle 2.

But pirate sites are seldom HTML only, rather lots of PDFs and other downloads plus offshore location.
