latest Sigil version for Mac on 10.6 OSX, why not?

hallo,
first of all, thanks guys for this great, life saver software.
my question is: why latest version of sigil are not compatible with older Mac OS X 10.6.8? I noticed that on the windows side, for example, the 0.7 version works perfectly on XP sp3.
So i wonder if there's a possibiliy to do an effort and make new version improvements available for mac users who don't want/can't switch to new OS (which i think it's a huge amount of users).

One of the issues is, that Qt5 does not work on older versions of Mac. Since Sigil is depending on Qt, it will not work.

User_none commented on this earlier and it had something to do with support IIRC.

i feared it was a tech matter, but i was not sure.

(btw 0.5.3 version suits perfect for my work, i'll continue with it!)

There is also a 0.6.2 version compiled by pdurrant on the forum.

so, for anybody interested, sigil 0.6.2 for mac, compiled by pdurrant works perfectly on my 10.6.8. you can find it here
