New Oasis with warm light - Page 8

My Oasis 3 does not appear to have a magnetized back like my Oasis 2. I have a cover that magnetically sticks to the back of the Oasis 2 but doesn't stick to the Oasis 3.

You need to get a new cover.

I have this cover (fabric version**) from my Oasis 2 (which I traded in for the Oasis 3). In addition to the magnetic back (which doesn't work on the O3), it also has an adhesive strip that you can use to affix the cover to the Kindle. While the adhesive works fine, I can confirm that the front cover does not enable the auto sleep/wake feature.

**I don't think the non-fabric version of this cover have the adhesive strip, and therefore wouldn't work with the O3.

User reports confirm only Amazon's cases are compatible with both the KO2 and KO3.

I wonder why Amazon removed the rear magnets? My case also has the adhesive, but I really like the easy on/easy off magnetic attachment. I like to keep the case on except when I'm reading. Then I take it off and take advantage of how slim the device is. Sad.
