Hanvon N516 to Woxter reflash help?

Would anyone be so kind as to post an idiot's guide to reflashing a Hanvon N516 with the Woxter Scriba firmware? I've downloaded the two files from the Woxter english site.

Not very sure, what two files?

In the spanish Woxter site there are two firmware updates, you only need one (highly recommended the newer one, from may 2010).

Have you tried it with the battery not full? This can cause trouble.

From the site N516 wiki entry -

The Woxter Scriba 150 branded device is the same hardware as the Hanvon N516. Firmware of Woxter 150 can be installed on Hanvon n516 in two steps.

Step 1: Install Firmware v.22920
Step 2: Firmware Scriba V.2.5.3.2
Important note: You will lost manufacturer guarantee and support. Downgrading to Hanvon firmware is not possible!

I haven't tried anything yet. My understanding is that you extract the firmware from the rar file, copy it to the SD card and run the update facility on the Hanvon. What I'm not sure about is whether you follow that process twice - once with v. 22920 then again with Scriba V.2.5.3.2?

Mmmmm... I'm not very sure what to advice.

I updated from the first version when my husband gifted the Scriba to me, and did not notice any change. Then, I updated to another version that they have retired, because it was giving a lot of trouble, and now, two weeks ago, I updated to the new 2.53.2.

The firmware in your N516 is old? Perhaps if your firmware is old, better to update from the two files.

If the N516 is compatible like all people say, updating one and then another wouldn't be a trouble.

I'm very happy with this update, the reader works better, I have more options to read (now it reads mobi), and it looks a little faster. Hope it will work with yours.
