Kobo Order of In Stock e-reader.

What’s the longest anyone has waited for a Kobo order to be shipped for an e-reader that supposed to be in stock?

I placed an order on the 21st, I chased it today but just got an ‘we’ll escalate it to a specialist team to ascertain why it’s not been shipped’, which basically means nothing.

I really wish I didn’t have to order from Kobo

I've looked around the net for Kobo in the UK and Argos has the Sage but not the Libra 2 and Amazon as both but neither in stock. I cannot find other shops with the Sage or Libra 2.

I just hope your Kobo isn't shipping (when it does ship) from the EU as you could get hit with import duty even though Kobo should be taking care of that.

Somewhere on these forums I might have posted my horror story with (I think) preordering the KA1. If memory serves I preordered it awhile before release, it took several calls before I ended up with a tracking number and when I did I basically had it in my hands, it was maybe a week plus since it had released.

Though with my Forma the preorder was a lot smoother. But with the Sage I got a tracking number late from Kobo (UPS had it in their system) and the shipping was delayed a day.

Honestly customer service and shipping seem to be entirely different companies from Kobo.

Thank you. My Sage came from the EU as did the Sleepcover. I didn’t get hit with import duty for either of them, I can only hope with the Forma.

I think they are completely separate entities too. It’s the only exscue for such poor customer service. I just have to wait and hope they eventually ship my order.

Well my Kobo Forma 32GB arived today, business day 10, which suprised me as it's still not marked as shipped on my order status.

Unfortunatly whilst the screen is quite even, apart from one long white strip on the led side, and the power button works perfectly, the screen is actually very yellow, with no natural light.

It's going back, and i'm done ordering from kobo.

Does the Kobo cover fold back like a regular cover or are we stuck using it as a stand? I'm about to pull the trigger on a Libra 2 but I need to know about the cover. Thanks.

I can let you know on Wednesday when mine arrives. I’ve had third party origami covers before and they fold back fine, just like a normal cover. It’s just not a solid flat piece.
