K3 accidentally restarted instead of updating with update_kite.bin

restarted with update_kite_k3w-3.2.1_install.bin

now "Update Your Kindle" is grayed-out

should I restore to factory defaults or unbrick with serial port ?

Your info box on the left says you have a KOA2 device.
All *.bin files (either ours or Amazons) are "device (type)" locked.
Which means you can not install a *.bin file on a KOA2 that is intended for the K3 keyboard.
So in the case you report, "grayed out" is the correct and expected outcome.

Hence the confusion. We rely heavily on that info-box being up-to-date (which it now is).
