accidentally restarted instead of updating with update_kite.bin
restarted with update_kite_k3w-3.2.1_install.bin
now "Update Your Kindle" is grayed-out should I restore to factory defaults or unbrick with serial port ? |

Your info box on the left says you have a KOA2 device.
All *.bin files (either ours or Amazons) are "device (type)" locked. Which means you can not install a *.bin file on a KOA2 that is intended for the K3 keyboard. So in the case you report, "grayed out" is the correct and expected outcome. |

Hence the confusion. We rely heavily on that info-box being up-to-date (which it now is).
