Although I didn't know her personally, Patricia has always shown herself on MR to be a kind-spirited, gentle and helpful person. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. The world needs more people like Patricia.

I've spent much of the day reading this thread, recalling some posts of hers, and reading one of the buzillion books she converted (it always felt like she did that just for me!). I'm sad and don't know what else to say. I miss her. How about a round of Zany Carter Patricias for everyone?

and we lose a fine, noble spirit selflessly working towards sharing the written word for all.
Blessing on your path Patricia and for those you have left behind. *to fallen friends* |

Zelda, could you post a photo of Patricia? I imagine that many of us would appreciate seeing the face of the person who helped us so much.

I never knew Patricia, but reading all these heartfelt words about her makes me wish I had. She must have been a wonderful person.
My sympathies go out to all of you who were her friends and to her family. |

So very sad to sign in and see this news. Her contribution to e-reading will live on as her legacy here at MR, but her voice will be missed.

Patricia certainly helped me in getting started with ebook uploads, and she certainly was patient and kind to all. It saddens me as with so many others here at MR that she passed away with so much still left to do.

A sad thing to happen. The books Patricia converted were among the first books I read on my ereader, secure in the knowledge they didn't crash my reader. I'm thankful for all the work she put in those books.
My sincerest condolences to Patricia's family and friends. |
