PW5 New PW5 Kids - Firmware Report

Just a heads-up.

I traded my KOA2 to try to get a PW5; got a Kids Edition for the warranty/case and also possibility of earlier FW.
Just got it in, and sure enough, it shipped with 5.15.1 and kindle_info.pl reports an estimated mfg date of April 25, 2023.

Hey, I just got one of the new 16GB versions too. I already have an 8GB version from September 2022, and the old one is running 5.14.2. I'm trying to downgrade the new one to the same firmware for the interface and because the new firmware says "Cloud Not Available" in my Library because I'm in Airplane Mode.

If you decide to downgrade, let me know if it works. Currently the oldest firmware I can get on the new 16GB model is 5.14.3.0.1 and 5.14.2 fails with Error 02. Thanks!

Since 16GB is a hardware change from 8GB it could be that 5.14.3.0.1 is the lowest firmware that the 16GB model will run.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. User KetchupCider reported being able to downgrade a 32GB Signature Edition, so it shouldn't be an issue with not recognizing more than 8GB, but could be a model or version.txt issue. If you find something else, let me know. Thanks!
