Webbrowsing - Galaxy S Tab and Nook color

both running on android, why does the Samsung Galaxy S tab pull up the mobile versions but the nook color pulls up the PC version of websites and scales it to size?

thanks

It may depend on what you mean by "pull up the mobile version". Some sites use the browser identification string (sent by the browser) to determine how to display pages. It is also possible for them to redirect the the mobile site, based on browser information. It is possible for the Galaxy Tab and the Nook Color to use slightly differerent browsers or different identification of the browser. I don't know for sure, though.

You can also simply go to the mobile website page directly, if you want. For example, go to http://m.cnn.com/ instead of http://www.cnn.com/. I bookmark the mobile pages on my phone. You generally are dependent on the site interpreting your browser identification string correctly if you want links to non-mobile pages to render the mobile version, however.
