Hiding or deleting books in Paperwhite that are in the cloud list or "All" list
I have been sending my self books from Calibre to my paperwhite using my paperwhite email address. Works perfectly. However, when I delete the actual book from the device, it still appears on the "All" tab in my Home tab, even though it is deleted.
I now have about 8 pages of books in my "All" tab of the paperwhite, none of which are actually downloaded. Very annoying though harmless. Can you scrub or delete this list? |

That's the way it's supposed to work. "All" shows you all the books in your library. Change it to "Downloaded" if you only want to see the books that are on the device.

You can see the list of personal documents that are stored for your account on Amazon's Manage Your Content and Devices page when "Show: Docs" is selected. You need to delete them from there to make them go away permanently.

And in the future (if you don't need and don't use syncing between multiple devices ) you could even choose not to have your "personal documents" archived at all on your Amazon account, if you use "Send to Kindle" app instead of sending your books via email.
If the only thing you want is just wireless transfer to one of your Kindle devices or apps... that would eliminate the need for periodical cleanup using Amazon's website. Last edited by shamanNS; 02-15-2019 at 07:25 PM. Reason: fixed URL |

My bad, I've pasted the wrong URL
https://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle Here is a screenshot how it looks on Windows. You can disable that "Archive document in your Kindle Library" option if you don't want the book you're sending to be saved onto your free cloud storage (if it is saved then it is displayed in "All" section on Kindle home screen), and you also need to choose with device or app you would like to send the document to.
