I am planning to work out again next week as I feel like I gain weight during the holidays. I need to lose 15pounds before June, I know I can do it.

I pretend I don't see my scale when I'm in the bathroom. I've still got holiday company who will be here through the weekend; Monday morning will be my dread day of reckoning and it won't be pretty.
However, while I've also not gone to the gym over the holidays at least I am getting my steps in; I'm over 21,000 today (well, that's unusually high, to be truthful ), but I am hitting my 10,000 every day. |

I've definitely put weight on over the Christmas period - just been too scared to step on the scale in 2019 yet |

I don't need to step on a scale--I look 4 months pregnant. It's cause of all the cookies and donuts around here. Now I shake my head vigorously when they offer me donuts and show them my side profile. lol
Unfortunately I can't walk for great lengths of time 'cause I did yoga a week ago and injured my back, hamstring and knees. Long story... |

I've lost a couple of kilos in the past few weeks. Stricter on what I eat, gym at least twice a week. Not much walking though -- it's too darn hot. So, just around the block every hour or so. Hard part is keeping it off.

Well, yay me!
I hit ten pounds lost this morning and weigh what I did a year ago. My target date was Easter, so I've got a week in hand to nail it down. I get to eat (and drink) again! |

Congratulations. I'm still around 77kg. And I know exactly why - I've been eating more than I should.

I put on 5 pounds this winter ... which show no inclination to leave anytime soon ....
To counteract the 'dampening' effects of numerous rainy days on my walking outdoors, I have added indoor stair climbing to my daily exercise routine. My office building has an inside staircase with 18 steps - it's become my senior version of running bleachers -- I go up & down it in sets of 2-3 repetitions twice each morning and three times in the afternoons. I'm building up to sets of 4 reps. Haven't seen any weight loss yet, as I am probably adding muscle tissue doing this, but it's great for cardio and resting my eyes ... |

Yes I've been doing a low carb diet and lost 35 pounds. Though I appear to be stuck and having trouble losing weight again.

I'm on a "kind of diet". To help me with my type 2 diabetes management in trying to stick to a low carb approach. So far is going great. This has included cutting out soft drinks, breads, cakes, muffins, and limiting items like rice and potatoes.
One treat I do allow us having a diner breakfast on Sundays before Church; normally an omelette or bacon and eggs. Today I found a great alternative (cheaper).. McDonald's and customize the egg McMuffin to remove the English Muffin. They serve it on a plastic tray with cutlery! |
