localhost

I've just moved over from avantgo to plucker to jpluck now to sunrise - in my opinion each upgrade has been worth it - well done laurens.

Just a question - on Jpluck, I could sync pages off http://localhost/ however when I do it on Sunrise, I get the following message...

Unhandled Response: HTTP/1.0 503 Service Unavailable

Anyone have any thoughts on why this would be? My PC is running XP & apache

yep

yep - tried 127.0.0.1

Both localhost & 127.0.0.1 work when I access via a browser, but sunrise produces that error...

Well my local Apache 2.0.47 server works fine with Sunrise. It's a simple configuration, though. The only thing I can think of right now is to change the default User Agent in Sunrise.

proxy

I just turned off "use a proxy server" and that worked, but it then means outside servers can't be contacted...

jpluck can contact both with proxy servers on - I assume you must be using a different method of fetching the content?

The problem is that Sunrise always connects through the proxy when one is configured. The "localhost" that it's connecting to is most likely the proxy server's "localhost". Will address this in the next revision.

UPDATE: Proxy exceptions implemented in Sunrise 0.41c(due for release this Sunday).
