Quite well put desertgrandma. I hope this thread won't turn into another religious debate. Though I do much prefer the KJV to another myself. It's the one I grew up with.

Why must we always argue about this?

There is no ONE perfect, world wide accepted book of God.

Lets just let it go, and choose which one we feel most comfortable with.

Thank God we can all worship, or not according to our beliefs......in most of the world, any way.......

There are so many translations around that I'm sure many of them were published in the 1970s, but that's way, way too soon for something to come out of copyright. The ESV is a pretty modern translation; as I say, it was first published in 2001.
