DNS on local network
I have Calibre server running successfully, but I am wondering if there is a way to connect to it using a url rather than an IP address. I have the IP set as static, but I would rather use a name. Is there a way? I tried port forwarding and no-ip, but I really don't need the server accessible from outside of my home network.
Thanks. |

You either need a DNS server on your local network or to add an entry in the hosts file on all computers on your network. Or you bonjour to query the server.
