Editing TOC get ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: ''
When I add an entry in editing ToC, an error message pops up:
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: '' This only happens to a specific epub book, which is in the attachment. I'm using the latest version, v5.13 x64, on windows 10. Could anyone help? Last edited by BetterRed; 03-12-2021 at 02:43 PM. Reason: Remove copyrighted book |

Moderator Notice I removed the attachment in the first post, see Guideline #8 How did you try to change the ToC, by using the ToC editing tool or manually? If you were using the tool, which option were you using, a screen shot might help. BR |

Hmm the only way i can think of for that error to happen is if the worker process that shows that dialog is killed or crashes. Maybe an aggressive A/V??

Kovid is on R&R for a few days.
But it works for me, viz: My Setup Calibre 5.13 Windows 10 Pro, Version: 20H2, OS build: 19042.867 Security: AV etc: MS Defender; Firewall:Microsoft; Malwarebytes 4.3.0 Try disabling your AV software or adding calibre to its exclusion list. BR |

I use Norton. But adding calibre-parallel.exe in the whitelist of Norton didn't help.
This seems like a python error, which reminds me of a similar error occured in an another Python-related software, QGIS. Weeks ago I changed my user folder name. Although I followed a microsoft tutorial to do that, when I ran QGIS later, a Python error occurred, as shown in the image below: https://thefantasticprincessbouquet....38766267170816 This error in QGIS was solved by creating a new user account in QGIS. I don't know if that error resemble to the one I encountered in Calibre. Last edited by davidhcje; 03-14-2021 at 09:45 AM. Reason: picture doesn't show |

I don't think renaming the user folder is the case though, since I just tried on another 2 PCs, and the problem persisted.
Another possible reason I could think of is that I put my library in OneDrive. Could that be the cause? |

Yes, that is most likely the cause. See https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq...rked-drive-nas

Great! I closed OneDrive temporarily, then edited the TOC and it worked.
