New Ks physical page turn buttons?

Are there physical page-turn buttons on the new Kindles Touches? And if not, can you turn in both directions from either side of the screen?

The Non-touch model definitely has page buttons.

The Touch models do not. I'm not sure if you can modify the touch screen for alternate touching. The manual is online so you can check it out.

EDIT: Oops, only the manual for the non-touch model is currently available. Some of the touchscreen readers by other companies do allow you to assign which side of the screen to tap for paging in a particular direction. unknown if the KT will have this option though.

A bit vague according to their site. Sounds like you can page forward with either hand, but page back sounds like it's only on a small portion on the left edge of the screen.

Quote:
With EasyReach, Kindle Touch users can effortlessly page forward in a book or a periodical while holding the device with either hand. Tapping on most of the screen area will page forward, the most common action done when reading; tapping in a narrow area near the left edge of the device turns to the previous page; and tapping on the top part of the screen brings up the toolbars for further options.

The page forward on each side is an excellent feature, especially for lefties, or anyone who wants to switch reading hands when reading.

No physical buttons. There was apparently mention in the press conference of being able to re-zone the default page-turning areas, but no User's Guide is available yet.

From the product page:
"Amazon invented a new type of touch experience that eliminates the fatigue caused by continuously swiping to turn the page, and that allows readers to hold Kindle with either hand while still turning pages comfortably. With EasyReach, Kindle Touch users can effortlessly page forward in a book or a periodical while holding the device with either hand. Tapping on most of the screen area will page forward, the most common action done when reading; tapping in a narrow area near the left edge of the device turns to the previous page; and tapping on the top part of the screen brings up the toolbars for further options."
