Continuing Problems reading pdb files on Lite

I'm now running 14m and still see (or don't see) missing text at page turns.

So far I've seen this only on pdb files, both secure pdb from ereader.com, as well as pdb files generated by Calibre.

I downloaded "Island of Dr. Moreau" from Project Gutenberg both as epub and as text, then converted the text to pdb. The epub reads very nicely and is very readable on the screen. The pdb text has little space between the lines and every so often there are missing words at a page turn.

I think this problem relates to pdb format rather than drm.

Someone in another thread said he hadn't seen the problem. Has anyone been able to read pdb files, either secure or open, on the Jetbook Lite without having missing words???

I am also seeing some missing words or entire lines when viewing secure and non-DRM eReader PDB files on the Jetbook Lite I just received. It's not happening on every page, but I'd say that it hits every 2-3 pages or so.

I emailed tech support about this, and the M/N version differences. I got an email back from them that they are aware of the dropped lines, and are working on the fix and it should be released shortly. Their suggestion was to use either 12 or 16 font size and it won't drop them. They also said that the n & m versions have the same capabilities, just stability fixes between them, and to definitely use the n version.

I haven't been pushing on tech support as much as others. There's a balance between making them realize how many people are affected, vs distracting the staff with answering repetitive email.

However, I just tried 12 and 16 font on Reserved for the Cat and still see dropped lines (this is 14m), so it goes beyond font choice.
