Grey, Zane: Under The Tonto Rim. v1. 28 May 07
You gotta love primitve bee-hunters. They're so uncouth.
Some info on this Zane Grey novel: "Lucy Watson, a young schoolteacher, is appointed welfare instructor in a community of isolated backwoods folk. She quickly overcomes their fears, and achieves popularity by the practical results of her work. She is especially successful with a strong, uncouth bee-hunter. Zane Grey's handling of these primitive characters is robust and understanding." Hope you like it.....pardner. I remember the ads on the back page of the Sunday supplement newspaper magazines when I was a kid of how you can buy this fine hardback library volume of Zane Grey for just five cents as long as you agree to buy a lot more over the next year at $4.95 plus S&H. What surprised me then (and what I remember about it now) was that most of the ad talked about how impressive the books would look on your shelves and not about the quality of the writings or that anyone would ever want to read the books.
Maybe this is why ebooks are so hard to sell, they don't look impressive lined up on a shelf. |

My father has a standard library of them, but I can't remember the publisher. Here at a local Half-Price Books, they have about 50 hardbacks in this same standard library.
