Editing ui
I edited the viewer ui file main.ui in Qt Designer, then ran pyuic to create main_ui.py. When I ran the viewer, I got an error message that images_rc could not be found.
What am I doing wrong? (Lack of facility with pyqt may be the answer) |

Follow the instructions for setting up a calibre development environment if you haven't already. If you have done so there is no reason to run pyuic or any other command like this by hand. Make your change then run the viewer. The .ui will be "recompiled" with the appropriate modifications for thing like the images_rc's path to be properly set.

I notice that documentview.py does not import main_ui (although it does import Ui_Dialog from config_ui). How does does documentview use main_ui without importing it?

grep main_ui src/calibre/gui2/viewer/*
src/calibre/gui2/viewer/main.py:from calibre.gui2.viewer.main_ui import Ui_EbookViewer |
