The sample runs through epubcheck with no errors. You might get more responses if you posted the actual errors you are getting (or the book, rather than having someone pay $1 to answer your question).

I included the epub/

These are the errors I got:

Validate EPUB documents
Invalid EPUB
4-little-chickies.epub is not valid or contains warnings!

1. ERROR: 4-little-chickies.epub: The file tmp_d3f070c3d51342da70455e496ad37e08_eCFQIn_html_1 d7db6ef.png does not appear to be of type image/png
2. ERROR: 4-little-chickies.epub: The file tmp_d3f070c3d51342da70455e496ad37e08_eCFQIn_html_4 cd24e2e.png does not appear to be of type image/png
3. ERROR: 4-little-chickies.epub: The file tmp_d3f070c3d51342da70455e496ad37e08_eCFQIn_html_m 2eba61a3.png does not appear to be of type image/png
4. ERROR: 4-little-chickies.epub: The file tmp_d3f070c3d51342da70455e496ad37e08_eCFQIn_html_m 38b3539.png does not appear to be of type image/png
5. Check finished with warnings or errors!
The images are directly on my computer, how are they tmp files with such large file names? This confuses me

when importing photos into word, do they HAVE to be .jpg or .gif... I have been using .PDF

PDF will not work. They have to be .jpg, .gif, .png, or .bmp. A PDF usually has one of those formats or .jpg2 which is not understood but ePub will not directly understand PDF.

Actually I just opened the file and the images are really .jpg with a .png extension. You need to ensure the extension is correct.

In addition the main html file has multiple extensions and needs to be cleaned up. It is called tmp_d3f070c3d51342da70455e496ad37e08_eCFQIn.ch.fix ed.fc.tidied.stylehacked.xfixed.html

changing all photos to .png should correct everything. working on it now. fingers crossed.

The code is awful. This is yet another sample that shows why Smashwords is doing things all wrong.
