Brand New to E-books

I have been using the Sony Reader to read on my laptop for a couple of months. I was ready to buy when Sony made their BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

So, I took time and looked around. I found your forum and did a lot of reading. I have ordered the 600 (in black

), and am anxiously awaiting my new "baby."

I'm pretty new to forums too, so please be patient with me.

I know this technology stuff is pretty easy to all of you, but I grew up before computers, and while I've done a lot of stuff with them, they keep getting more complex.

I use both Mac & Windows, so I'm kept on my toes most of the time.

Hi Grandma Aubbie and welcome to MobileRead. Good to have another senior citizen in our midst. Be sure and let us know how you like your 600 when you get it. I've had a Sony 505 since January 2008 and really like it.

Hello Grandma Aubbie -- let me add my WELCOME to MobileRead. If you have any questions, just ask. There are many helpful people on the forum and there'll be *someone* who'll know exactly how to help you with any problems you might run into.

Us Grandmas have to hang together. (Well, I'm not quite a Grandma as the baby is due at the end of January.)

I feel the same way about MobileRead. The members here are wonderfully helpful and supportive. Please let us know how you like your new toy when you get it. I have the 700 and am seriously considering trading it in for the 600 (as soon as I convince my husband it's for the greater good
