Indexing whole words only

Hello, a question regarding Sigil's marvelous Index Tool.

Is it possible for it to index an entry only when it is a whole word, and not just part of a longer word? That is, if under "text to include" I write "White", I want it to index only the instances of "White" as a stand-alone word, and not, say, "Whiteman", "Whitestone"; etc.

I seem to recall it was like that in older versions, but I might be wrong.

Thanks.

Wait, where should the "$" go? I tried this in the Index Editor and it doesn't work.

I tried "White[^a-z]" though, and it does work.

You right.

This not work if "White" is inside sentence.
Works only for single words.

Better solution:
Code:
\bWhite\b

\w = any “word” character (roughly [A-Za-z], but Unicode-aware; \W = any non-word character.

\WWhite\W should pick up “‘White’” and “White.” which some other suggestions here would miss.
