Mary Stewart's Arthurian Saga bundle (Kindle) $9.99
I've always wanted to have ebook versions of Mary Stewart's Athurian Saga, and I just found out that it's available for the Kindle for $9.99 as a bundle 'Legacy (Book 1)'

(P.S. There's no TOC, but if you check the reviews on Amazon, Northward listed the location numbers for each book in the bundle) Last edited by arcadata; 02-05-2011 at 10:06 PM. |

I read these in paperback years ago. They are one of the best renditions of the Arthurian Saga I've read. Very Highly recommended.

Is this Mobi or Topaz format?

I've seen this in the Kindle store off and on... and right now it's saying it's not currently available. I'll have to keep checking back because I, too, loved this series.

It says, Publisher: Createspace (March 29, 2010) Is that sort odd for a geo-restricted book? It gives a filesize, and that's supposed to be the clue that it's not topaz. |

So it looks like it's not really geo-restricted, just pulled, for some reason. Maybe they're creating a TOC. |

Maybe it's not a legit copy.
Why would a big-name long-established print author like Mary Stewart be publishing through CreateSpace, which is Amazon's self-publishing print-on-demand thing? Especially when none of her other books are available for Kindle or any other reader? |

I'm suspicious of any books by Mary Stewart that I ever see in the Kindle Store, especially when they are published by "CreateSpace." For some reason, I've seen more pirated versions of her books for sale on Amazon than any other author or series.
A couple of them have been obviously pirated copies that I reported to Amazon. And by "obviously pirated" I mean they'll have titles like "The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart" with a listed author of someone completely different. That particular book had dozens of reviewers who didn't seem to have a problem with it. It's amazing what people will buy sometimes. It would be nice if she/her publisher would release official, legal versions for everyone to buy. |

There are no legit eBooks by Mary Stewart. So these are bogus and of very questionable quality.

Isn't it odd that this particular bundle has reviews going back to March of last year (assuming it's an infringement)? I know it's been up and down, but it seems Amazon would have taken it down permanently and zeroed the ASIN.
Maybe the author is trying to put it up, and the publisher is fighting her over it. /imagination wild with curiosity |

only review of new version is verbatim same as one of few reviews now missing version. Only other two reviews she wrote: one for another illegal Kindle edition from Mary Stewart (now so missing, it's image is gone) and one other kindle edition book, now also missing from the store: Price of Pleasure by JoAnna Wylde
Safe to say, it's the person dropping these illegal editions into the store, I'm sure. |
