My sister and BIL have used a lot of phones and it's a toss-up between Samsung and Motorola. My BIL's son, whose probably used more varieties than they have says Apple is still the best unless you have specific requirements.
I have a flip phone. The closest I get to a smart phone is my Itouch. |

Statistics vary on this, but only a fraction of a phone is actually recycled, even when sent to a recycling center. And that's when recycling is actually attempted instead of the phone merely being sent to a third world country so that it can bypass local regulations and be burned with other recyclable junk such as tires.
I get your point, but I'm sure you're aware that recycling is not a solution to over consumption. It can absord part of the waste but it can't possibly account for the environmental cost of manufacture, transport and so on. It's cheaper for your wallet but you're only passing the receipt to future generations. |
