Why are you people calling this an error? It's not an error. It's how the eBook was made. It's on purpose. Reporting it as an error is wrong.

It may indeed be a deliberate choice by the book creator, but it's reasonable to report it as a formatting issue if the book is being sold as being suitable for eInk Kindles.

Before we jump to conclusions, I think we really shoud take a look at what the OP is seeing. Now if we only knew what book it is, maybe we can see this in the sample.
