New battery for Gen 3
Have searched the forum, and in various threads people talked about looking for an alternative to the shocking prices charged by bookeen for a battery....did anyone find either a cheaper place to purchase, or an alternative battery that works?
Many thanks |

Don't mess with "compatible" battery, devices are made for one type of battery, if it's not exactly the same type it will be dangerous.*For the battery, and for you.

It should since they share the same (or nearly) the same hardware, but I wonder if cooler will sell battery to non cooller device owner

Look like it, right voltage. seams the same connector. But noting about the (damm, i can't remember the word!). Needs to be 1000mA anyway.
Most likely will work. But I would advise not messing up with batteries unless you know what you're doing. |

Is it important? I'd say a battery with more or less capacity would just last longer/shorter... after all, the unit does not explode when the battery is old (and therefore holds less charge). |

The second point being the battery's ability to deliver the right voltage / intensity at a given time. |
