Cookies :-(

Have been running PC version of Sunrise Desktop v0.42i for awhile.
No probs....
I was using a FormLogin which worked fine.
Had enough of exporting IE cookies to cookies.txt and thought I'd try a newer version.

Loaded SunriseXP v2.0 beta which uses IE cookies, great I thought....
When I run the software it logs in to the website but then the cookie gets deleted.
I'm pretty sure the cookie is being deleted on access not on the second access from a repeated login.

It would be nice to find an answer to this but 'til then I'll stick with the old version.

PS great software......

It all depends on how a website treats logins from different user agents. Perhaps it deletes the login cookie if it detects that the connection originates from a different application. I.e. not from Internet Explorer, which was used to log in originally.

The Java version does not update cookies at all, meaning that logins can expire over time.

But I have set the UserAgent to IE in Preferences.

I'm really just guessing as to what the problem might be. What site are we talking about here?

saiben, by "Java Version", Laurens means his Sunrise Desktop 0.42, which was based in Java and preceded SunriseXP

Hi,
The site I'm trying to view is www.geocaching.com

I'm having trouble with the Java version now using exported IE cookies.

I've loaded FireFox and logged in through there.
If I tell the SunriseDesktop to use FireFox cookies, all is ok.

So I suspect it has something to do with IE cookies.

Cheers
Saiben
