Converting 32-bit to 64-bit - AppleScripts
For those of us fretting about our favorite 32-bit AppleScripts (including the one from Alf), here's how to convert them to 64-bit:
If the above fails, look for odd characters in the AppleScript name such as "/". Delete the problematic character. You can rename the AppleScript after it's converted to 64-bit. To add custom icon:
Note: This works for macOS High Sierra. It should also work with Mojave. Earlier versions may work differently or not work at all. Finally, big to @pdurrant for guidance! |

And it worked for me in El Capitan!
The only thing is that the 32-bit version Get Info has a check box labeled "Prevent App Nap" while in the new 64 bit version that box is replaced by the "Open in 32-bit Mode" check box. Last edited by romad; 12-01-2018 at 01:06 PM. |
