Do books bought from Sony and B&N need tweaking before they can be viewed on the Kobo

Do books bought from Sony and B&N need tweaking before they can be viewed on the Kobo? Or can they just be sideloaded and read with correct formatting? WOuld I have to strip the DRM?

I have ePubs from Sony as-is on my Kobo. They are ADE DRM and I used ADE to copy them.

Can't speak to Nook format, since I can't get B&N books in Canada.

B&N's EPUBs aren't going to work, I think. They use a different DRM scheme which the Kobo, Sony, etc., don't support.

Of course, if you strip the DRM from B&N EPUBs and then load them onto the Kobo, you'll have no problems reading them...
