Fiction Book Designer with FBReader and Umlaut support

Hello!

I am using the new version of the FBReader on my Nokia 770 - so far so good. To convert *.html books to FBReader format i use the Fiction Book Designer.

Problem is i am not able to get my Umlaute like ä, ö, ü etc. converted correctly. Little bit confused here cause i thought i am doing everything correct (using Western European Coding etc.)

Someone who already faced that problem too and found a solution yet?

Hello,

could you, please, describe your problem with more details (version of FB Designer, little sample html file)? I'm not FBDesiner expert, but I could forward your question to FBDesigner forum (http://www.the-ebook.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=19).

Of course, you can ask independently on this forum, but it is in Russian only.

Btw, did you know that FBReader can open html files without conversion?

After a weekend of try and error i found the problem. It only occurs on my desktop PC where no MS Office or MS Word was installed.

When i gave it a try yesterday using my office Laptop which has MS office installed everythings just worked as it should. All äöüß 's displayed correctly now
