PC won't recognize REB 1100

My Pc (XP) does not recognize the REB 1100 when I plug in USB.
I bought the REB 1100 used and did not have cd but downloaded driver and librarian.
In librarian, I get message "Rocket ebook not found. Is it docked and turned on?"
What am I doing wrong?

You need the Gemstar eBook Librarian v2.0.244 not the RocketLibrarian v1.3.222 to communicate with the REB1100.

Yes:
No:

You can get the Gemstar eBook Librarian v2.0.241 from the original Install CD here. An update to v2.0.244 can be found here.

You can also use REBComm 0.4 to communicate with/transfer to the REB1100. A better/updated REBComm v1.1.0.5 is mentioned in this post.

Try calibre to convert your .rb to .lrf, html, etc...

Or use the rbburst commandline tool from http://rbmake.sourceforge.net/ website.
