Quick question:
I won't be using the iliad for browsing the web, for that i have my laptop. I would like to know if it's possible to use this to browse local files (pdf articles) and to open by clicking on them. This might just be a fast replacement for the crippled contentlister... |

Minimo Installer for the iLiad (beta)
Any updated information?
What is currently the best option to get the iLiad to browse the web? Thanks, HackerBoy JMR@ReynoldsCo.net |

How to save in Minimo?
Is there a way to save the page or image displayed in Minimo? So far I have not seen any "Save As" function in the menu.
Thanks, iLiadian |

I don't use Minimo, but I doubt there is a way to save a displayed webpage in it.
You can use FBshot to take a screenshot of the page... its a bit time-consuming, but it might do what you want. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15029 Be sure to download v2 at the bottom of the thread. I've set my wait time to 90 seconds as I have to navigate through my CF card to browse. If you want to, just change 30 to 90 in the file run.sh as follows: $scriptdir ./fbshot -s 30 $scriptdir ./fbshot -s 90 |

Using either kwrite on kde or gedit on gnome I never could edit the file "Firmware_Script" to change 2.11 into 2.12.
The file looked good, but my ILiad never wanted to install the package, and acted like if I didn't edit the file. The solution was to change the "1" into "2" using a hex editor, to be sure to preserve the format or charset or whatever of the file. |
