Question Need more help with searching multiple columns at once

I wanted to include a pic of my settings for search but don't know how.
I created a group 'allseries' with values of 'series,#series2,#series3'and saved it.
But it doesn't work. When I search "allseries:whatever" I get nothing. I am using Calibre 1.48.0 on Windows XP. I don't think I can use a newer version can I?

Thanks

When you say you "created a group", what do you mean? Did you make a "Grouped search term"? If so then you should have "allseries" shown in the tag browser, the selection panel at the left of the screen. Clicking on an entry in "allseries" should show you that series.

If you didn't make a grouped search term then what did you do?

If you (think you) did make a grouped search term but it doesn't show in the tag browser then other diagnostic work is required.

Grouped search terms worked in 1.48, so they don't force an upgrade.

Custom column references always start with a #
#allseries:
Hover (mouse pointer) over the column label to see what you should use for that column

@beckyt - to post a screen shot
  1. Make sure you're in Advanced Mode
  2. Click the paper clip icon in the top toolbar - that will open the 'Manage Attachments' dialogue in another browser tab.
  3. Browse to the image
  4. Click Upload button
  5. When its done, click "Close this window' (top right)

IIRC - if you created a User Category for the group search item, then you have to search for @User category name.
