thanks. for the sleep images feature, there's no "custom" folder in root/system/usr/sleep/. and when i tried to create it with ES File Explorer, nothing seems to happen. is this a user permission problem?

i can't seem to get the custom image to work. options 1 and 5 are on (full access to /sdcard and sleep screen). the rest are off. in developer options, animator duration scale has been set to "Animation off".

when i quick press on the power button to put it to sleep, nothing happens. it doesn't go into standby. what am i doing wrong?

rem736,
"nothing happens" - please give some details, like pressing power button does nothing at all or it putting book to sleep/waking book up, just not drawing any image on screen?

UPDATE: never mind. it's was (once again) a file permissions problem.
i set the permission for both the "Custom" folder and the image to rwxrwxrwx and it works. but i'm thinking that rwxrwxrwx is overkill. what should the folder permission be set to? and the image?

thanks.

pressing the power button and releasing (the way it's done normally to put the reader to sleep) does nothing at all. whatever state it's in previous to the press remains. so if i'm on a page of my book, i still remain on the page. i verified this by being able to turn the page after pressing the power button.

if i set the sleep function to off, pressing the power button turns off the light and the page i'm currently on becomes the sleep image. i assume that this functionality happens because i turned the "Animator duration scale" setting to "Animation off". so instead of using the default nook images, it just goes into standby with what is currently on screen.

ryogo,

thank you very much for this. the standby image function works fantastically. i added a couple dozen images and it seems to be cycling through each one in alphabetical order by file name. any chance of revising the toolkit to allow for the option of shuffling the images? not critcal by any means, but a nice option to have.

"custom" folder permissions should be 755 (rwxr-xr-x), and images permissions should be 644 (rw-r--r--).

Yepp, I will add this some time later.

any chance you will be able to develop "no refresh"/A2 mode?
