Another adventure by Louis Tracy, this time in the Red Sea, around 1900 (published 1907). Besides romance, it features an antique papyrus, international adventurers (several), kafilas and a dash of humour.

Prepared from PG text, cleaned (which it needed) and illustrations from the Internet Archive. Added:

• Couple of maps, edited from Wikipedia originals;
• Some footnotes, to clarify historical/geographical references with 'queer' spelling;
• Art-cover, from old cover + illustration.
