making jpg look good on the Kindle screen

I'm helping a friend publish a book of cartoons and when I make them look great on a PC screen (using Photoshop) and then display them on a Kindle, the background is grey.
I can and will experiment to see what happens with different settings/corrections, but if someone knows the answer or thinks they have a good idea - please let me know.

Thanks

Although it's intended for Screensavers this guide will help you out to understand Kindle colors and its shades of grey.

If you're trying to specifically optimize for comics/cartoons you should check this post out. It goes into a lot of detail on different techniques to make illustrations looks great.

Glad you liked the KindleSavers tutorial! I run the site and am always happy to hear the tutorial has been helpful. I would love to see the finished cartoons if you're able to post them.
