Thank you Hitch, Deskisamess, Bilbo1967. I've been thinking that it's ironic that the Cathedral of Notre Dame caught fire now. Lisa was of French & Belgian descent.

Enjoying the quiet, for as long as it lasts.
It's King's Day today, so it'll be a lot noisier later on. Though not as noisy as normal; the cafés had new demands for the council this year and the council refused. So the cafés decided not to organize any big parties this year. Which means there isn't a huge podium on the square around the corner from us. Last night, King's Night, was a lot less noisy than normal and it quieted down a lot quicker after 1am (when the cafés aren't allowed to have amplified music outside) than other years. However, King's Day is on a Saturday this year, tomorrow most people won't have to go to work. So I expect that there's a chance some neighbours will have after parties late into the night. So my earplugs and noise cancelling headphones are at the ready. But for now it's quiet, except for the church tower playing music. I'm enjoying it whilst doing some chores before breakfast. |

Resting up from a day in the Park. Went to a Nature Preserve.
Saw lot of different wildflowers, Wild salvia, coreopsis, verbena, indian paintbrush, red yucca plants, blue eyed grass, wild chicory, lots of butterflies, and even a copperhead on the foot path. Just a day in the park for Texas. . . |

No, one doesn't touch a copperhead on the hunt, unless one truly enjoys spending a few days in the hospital. . .

Been AWOL here for a while. Working on a tough case trying to keep a 92-year-old woman from being evicted from her home of 40 years...
